The ALC student leaders made a positive impact on pre-K students across Monroe County at Hatley, Hamilton, Smithville, and Aberdeen for Dr. Suess week. The delegates, dressed in their delegate t-shirts, traveled to their assigned pre-K classroom to read Dr. Suess books to the younger students and brought snacks for them to enjoy during their recess. The delegates' goal was to build community through books and reading and foster a love of reading. The pre-K students benefited from the enthusiasm of their high school friends and were encouraged to continue to build their reading skills and become lifelong learners.
